Are you looking for a corporate or organizational activity to help improve teamwork and dedication? Are you looking for an out-of-the ordinary experience for you and your co-workers? If so, Twin Cities Youth Rowing has just the answer: our Corporate Learn-to-Row Experience!

Rowing has been called the ultimate team sport. Each individual in the boat is vital to the direction of the team, the balance of the boat, and its performance. Success is achieved through teamwork, orchestration, and patience in pursuit of a common goal. When you are out on the water, “Pulling Together” is not just a slogan – it is critical to successful rowing. As an employer, this is a great program designed to offer your team a fun, memorable team-building activity. The lessons and experiences gained through this opportunity will benefit your association, company, or organization in ways you didn’t know were possible!

Our Corporate Learn-to-Row Experience offers a unique program that can accommodate any organization’s specific needs or design goals. The program is typically a half-day or full-day event with flexible timing. Your group will learn about the history of the sport of rowing, learn basic techniques and commands, and get on the water to apply your newly-acquired skills – culminating in the chance to race on the water. Coaching is delivered by a group of experienced, energetic coaches.

Who Should Attend?

  • Companies and non-profits looking for a way to align leadership in support of a common goal, or those seeking to break down organizational boundaries
  • Sales Teams or other Functional Teams who want to strengthen their team identity through the support of a non-threatening goal (making the boat move forward under control)
  • Leaders throughout organization who wish to develop their teams in novel and memorable ways, who wish to break down barriers between different groups, or who wish to build their team’s ability to collaborate
