Fall Season Dates: September 3 – October 26  (No practice on 9/2)
Novice & Varsity Practice Schedule:
Mon – Fri 4:15-6:15 pm and Saturday 7:00- 9:00 am (except Regatta weekends)

Note to returning rowers: In order to be guaranteed a place on the team for the fall season, you MUST register by midnight, August 29th. After that date, new rowers will be registered, and it is possible that you may be placed on a waiting list if the program is filled to capacity before you get registered.

Note to new rowers: You will be placed on a waiting list if you register prior to August 29, so that all returning rowers can be accommodated. After August 29, you will be confirmed from the waiting list onto the team in the order that you registered. This is designed to prevent the program from getting filled beyond our capacity to best serve our athletes.

It’s time to FALL IN LOVE WITH CREW!  If you enjoy being on the water when the air is crisp, the leaves are full of color, and the competition is fierce, Fall Season is for you!  Fall season is by and far the team’s favorite racing season. The bedrock of our speed and success is our functional fitness, and the 3-mile distance of the fall races really allow us to showcase that on the water. Not only that, starting out in high school with our team ensures that you will have fast friends not only at your school, but across the entire Twin Cities metro area (we have rowers from over 20 different schools!)

Fall regattas are not just junior-specific, so there will be college teams from across the country racing on the same water. This is a great time to see what college rowing looks like, and for college coaches to take a look at YOU!

Success in rowing is achieved by combining technical instruction, skills improvement, and functional fitness. Our practices address all three components in a fast-paced, fun environment where a premium is placed on effort and accountability.

Our workouts consist of:

  • Instruction in rowing technique and racing skills
  • Cardiovascular work on Concept2 rowing machines
  • Core-specific strength and stability regimen

*Regattas (optional but highly encouraged)

  • Milwaukee River Challenge:  VARSITY ONLY Saturday, 9/16
  • Head of the Mississippi:  Saturday, Due to the travel date for Head of Rock, TCYRC will not attend this year.
  • Head of the Rock:  Sunday, October, 10/8
