Learn to Erg & the Basics of Rowing (L2R) Clinics

This one-day clinic is designed to give the young rower a solid footing in the fundamentals of this Olympic sport.  Four and eight-crew sweep rowing requires teamwork, uses every major muscle group, builds endurance, and instills confidence in your ability to push yourself and your fellow crew-mates.

 

 

Clinics include:
-Rowing theory and technique using rowing machines (ERGs)
-Demonstration of proper equipment handling
-Learning more about what it means to be part of Twin Cities Youth Rowing Club

This is an optional class for any participant who wishes to join the TCYR competitive travel team. Experienced coaches educate co-ed youth in the sport of sweep rowing.

This one-day clinic is open to youth who will turn 14 years by December 31, 2023 and who graduate from high school no sooner than 2024.

Date: January 13th

Time: 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Cost: $10 per clinic.

Please wear a T-shirt, tight-fitted shorts/spandex (no long/basketball shorts), socks and sneakers.  Bring a water bottle and warm clothing to leave in.
