Our Middle school programs

To participate, rowers must be 14 years old by the end of the calendar year. Rowers sign up and pay for each session separately, plus an Annual Membership fee. Regattas are a separate registration and fee.

  • This camp is designed for youth who are not familiar with sweep rowing.  We offer a fun approach to learning rowing basics and developing good technique.  Curious about CREW?  Come check us out this summer!

ALL 13 -18 year-olds are eligible for Twin Cities Youth Rowing Club’s Basic Into to Rowing recreational camps.

You MUST be a functional swimmer, as these camps are on the water and you must be able to swim at least 50 feet!

Coaches are trained/certified by US Rowing, and provide age-appropriate workouts and instruction for the new rower at the recreational level.

JOIN US, for some great times, new friends, and new experiences!  Don’t miss the boat!

  • If you will be 11-13 years of age by the end of this year, join our Middle School Camp!  This is a non-competitive, recreational atmosphere for boys and girls (ages 11-13) to learn how to row.  Younger athletes will learn the importance of physical fitness, rowing technique, water safety, and working with others in a fun and positive environment.

What’s a barge? Check out the video!

Our new and middle school rowers have the opportunity learn on our barge before we get them into our racing shells.
